9 Ways to Achieve your Trading Goals & Resolutions in 2010:

  1. Be realistic – set yourself goals that stretch you but that are also realistic to be achieved in your chosen time frame
  2. Write them down
  3. Write the goals as if you have already achieved them
  4. Tell a friend, family member or trading buddy and be accountable to them
  5. Print your goals out and read them often – perhaps post a little card in your wallet/purse or next to your computer screen
  6. Visualise success – spend time to read your goals aloud each day and as you do, spend a moment to visualise that the goal is already achieved
  7. Take a step towards them each day – note in your journal what you have done today to get one step closer to your goals
  8. Reward yourself – positive reinforcement for taking positive action will help to keep your goals on track
  9. Ask for help – the worlds most successful people do not do it on their own, they build a team! It may be a friend, mentor, coach or family member who has the expertise to help you. Don't be afraid to ask!
